Ushindi Gilgil Women's Group is the new name for a community organization that was set up in 2009, producing beautiful beaded, stitched and screen printed products. After many years of learning under the wing of an international NGO, in 2021 the members decided to take the next step in their empowerment journey and use their unique beadwork and sewing skills to branch out on their own. Taking full control of their group finally feels like victory!

In Swahili we say ”USHINDI”.
